Qatar — programme français
Le bac de français à Doha
Two schools in the French network educate close to four thousand students in Doha, from nursery through to the final year.
Their Year 12 students sit the anticipated French examination under exactly the same conditions as those in mainland France.
Les établissements du réseau français à Doha
Lycée français Bonaparte
AEFE partnership school, 74 nationalities represented — environ 2 150 élèves
Lycée franco-qatarien Voltaire
Partner school of the network, accredited from nursery to the final year — environ 1 694 élèves
Effectifs indicatifs, relevés sur les fiches du réseau et les sites des établissements. Ils évoluent à chaque rentrée.
Ce qui change quand on prépare l’épreuve depuis Doha
The Qatari weekend runs from Friday to Saturday, which opens up Friday as a comfortable working slot.
Families are often on fixed-term postings, with returns to France sometimes decided mid-year.
Le détail des épreuves, lui, ne change pas : écrit et oral sont identiques à ceux de métropole.
Le décalage horaire
1 hour ahead of Paris in summer, 2 hours in winter
The smallest gap in the Gulf: end-of-day slots almost coincide with those of a family living in France.
Les créneaux praticables
- Weekdays after school, between 5 pm and 7 pm Doha time.
- Friday, the first day of the local weekend, in the morning or early afternoon.
Ce que demandent les familles de Doha
- Does the local weekend change how sessions are arranged?
- It makes them easier. Friday being a rest day in Qatar and a working day in France, it offers a full day of slots available on both sides.
Ailleurs dans le Golfe
J’accompagne des élèves dans plusieurs villes du réseau. Un déménagement n’interrompt pas le suivi.
